I don’t know how I feel about these new glow-in-the-dark ‘Glonuts’ that are being sold in Australia.
On one hand, they look SO cool…
Now there's #glonuts …. Glow in the dark glazed #donuts. Taste as interesting as it looks. A special creation in conjunction with #VividSydney. Also on the menu are glowing #honey and #yuzu tea, glowing white #chocolate drink and black sesame cake with glowing yuzu jelly. Everything glows! Idea came from the people of Black Star Pastry. #Food scene in #Australia never fail to impress. #pw_eats #dessert #pastry #BlackStarPastry #N2

But whatever they’re putting in the icing that makes it glow CAN’T be good for you, right?!?!
Not so fast. It’s actually not as unhealthy as you may think…

‘Black Star Pastry’ – the shop selling the glowy bits of goodness – say the ‘yuzu glaze’ gets it’s shine from Vitamin B, which is supposedly used often to create glow-in-the-dark food. (Sidenote: DOES THIS MEAN THERE ARE OTHER GLOW-IN-THE-DARK FOODS THAT I’M MISSING OUT ON?!?!?!)
Anywho, if it’s not bad for you…I should probably find out a way to sample one, right?
