Ok…we could go on about yesterday’s eclipse FOREVERRRRRR.

I mean, even here – where coverage was only about 81% – it was pretty darn spectacular…

But let’s just get the BEST of the best out of the way in this last blog – and then I’ll shut-up about it – for another 7 years at least… 😉

Here we go!!

1. THE NEWBORNS IN ST LOUIS THAT WERE DRESSED LIKE THE ECLIPSE!!

Babies born yesterday at St. Luke’s hospital in St. Louis got the Solar Eclipse treatment yesterday…

The eclipse-themed buntings (I call them blankets, but apparently that’s the proper name) were given to each baby’s family, along with a basket full of Sun Chips, Moon Pies, and Eclipse gum.

2. The crying meteorologists and reporters…

Tom Schilling, a forecaster from Chicago, made the news after he teared up even BEFORE the moments of totality that he witnessed in Carbondale, IL.

But he’s not the only weatherman/reporter that got emotional during the eclipse.

There was Weather Channel Reporter Stephanie Abrams…

And then there was Marc Weinberg…who has ‘dreamt about this’ his entire life.

3. Ok, so now what do I do with my glasses?!

You planned ahead – found glasses – and saw the eclipse perfectly…now what?

Don’t throw them away!!

A group called Astronomers Without Borders says they’re collecting used eclipse glasses to donate to South America and Asia, where the next eclipse will show itself in 2019.
