Chip and Joanna Gaines Tell Us Why ‘Fixer Upper’ is REALLY Ending

Chip and Joanna Gaines broke our hearts last month when they announced that there would be no more ‘Fixer Upper’ after this season.

As the rumors started swirling – ‘Maybe it’s marriage issues?’ ‘There HAS to be something else going on!’ Chip and Jo didn’t say too much…until now.

In their first interview since making us all cry, they explained why things are REALLY ending…

“We didn’t want to push it, redline it, for so long that we woke up and realized ‘we are at a point of no return,’ you know? So we wanted to take a step back and focus on the thing that was ABSOLUTELY the most important thing to us in the world, which is Jo and I’s relationship.”

And while some people might take that as meaning that there were/are problems, I don’t know that I agree.

This seems to me like a case of two people, who really DO have it figured out, understanding that NO ONE is immune from the struggles that fame brings – and stepping back to protect themselves and their marriage from potential problems that could come their way as a result of being in the spotlight 24/7.

Good for them. ❤
