A Guy Just Combined a Furby and an Alexa to make ‘Furlexa’…and it’s Kinda Freaky.

Zach Levine is a local guy who runs a tech-savvy website called that basically shows people how to create DIY tech projects at home.

His last project though – it’s got me a little freaked out…

In the spirit of giving your favorite old-school toy (Furby) a makeover, Zach decided to combine it with an Amazon Echo.

The result is a twist on the ‘Alexa’ you’ve grown to love…

Meet, ‘Furlexa’…

As strange as the finished product is, the part that freaked me out the most was when he removed Furby’s outer fur covering to expose his insides.

No one should ever see that. [More]

People are Decorating Ladders for Christmas…and it’s Weird.

I’m all for a fun spin on a holiday tradition, but this one is a little too strange for my taste.

People have started decorating household LADDERS as if they’re Christmas Trees?!?

They add lights…

I told my wife and kids….just pretend we're a really cool artsy family that lives in a loft #laddertree #meyerhoffer

  • 7:39 am Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017 by Danielle

Teachers are a BIG deal in our house.

They’re the people I trust my most precious tiny humans with while I’m at work. They help them exercise their creativity and mold their little minds. They become family.

We typically do four small gifts Monday through Thursday and something larger on Friday. I figured I’d share the small crafts we did here. They’re all SUPER easy and inexpensive, but a great way to put a smile on your favorite teacher’s face.

We start with the supplies:

We’ll Call This a Pinterest Success Story…

  • 10:02 pm Thursday, April 13th, 2017 by Danielle

I’m kind of a sucker for Pinterest ideas when it comes to gifts for my kid’s teachers around the holidays.

Here’s one I found for Easter that was SUPER easy. My oldest is starting to help me put everything together now too, which adds an extra layer of fun to the whole thing. I found all of the items I used (plus at least 17 other things that I didn’t need…#TheStruggle) at Target.

The Goods:

Mason Jars
Easter Grass
1 Bag – M&M’s Eggs
1 Pkg – Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bunnies
1 Pkg – Reese’s ‘Reester’ Bunnies

The Process:

Fill the mason jars with Easter grass and position one Hershey’s Bunny [More]
