Well, this is interesting…
There’s a new 8-story tall ‘vending machine’ in Tampa where you can now buy a car.
Carvana is a relatively new company – with just 8 locations now that Tampa has been added into the mix:

If you’re planning on a trip to Gasparilla tomorrow, you may want to make arrangements to get yourself to and from to avoid the parking frenzy that will be taking over Tampa between the parade and NHL All-Star Weekend.
Lyft and Captain Morgan are working together to offer rides to Gasparilla attendees, ages 21 & up.
If you open up the Lyft app and enter the code ‘LIKEACAPTAIN’ you’ll be able to redeem one ride between 12am Saturday (Jan. 27) through 12pm Sunday (Jan 28).
Gasparilla attendees 21 and older can enter promo code ‘LIKEACAPTAIN’ in the Lyft app. The first 1,000 people [More]

Zach Levine is a local guy who runs a tech-savvy website called HowChoo.com that basically shows people how to create DIY tech projects at home.
His last project though – it’s got me a little freaked out…
In the spirit of giving your favorite old-school toy (Furby) a makeover, Zach decided to combine it with an Amazon Echo.
The result is a twist on the ‘Alexa’ you’ve grown to love…
As strange as the finished product is, the part that freaked me out the most was when he removed Furby’s outer fur covering to expose his insides.
No one should ever see that. [More]

Well, this wasn’t a smart choice.
Surveillance footage from 7th Avenue in Ybor last Friday caught a guy skateboarding across the hood of this blue Audi R8…
In case you’re not familiar…that pretty little car costs around $200,000!!!
Police say that an amateur skateboarder named Dalton Newbury may be the guy they’re looking for.
Apparently he was in town for a skateboarding event and posted the video to his Instagram over the weekend…
It has since been deleted and his account is now private – but something tells me he won’t be able to hide for long.

Just the name is exciting, right?!
‘The Mother of All Baby Showers.’
It’s coming to the Glazer Children’s Museum in Tampa this Friday, and if you think this is just for expecting moms, you’ve got it all wrong.
I got the chance to talk to Amy Lundy about why current moms and even women who are thinking about getting pregnant should check it out…

Last year, I lost one of my best childhood friends to breast cancer.
Jessica and I were ‘birthday neighbors’ that had known each other since we were in middle school living in the same apartment complex.
She was 29 and newly married when she lost her battle.
Jessica never got to see her 30th birthday. She never had the chance to bring life into this world. It wasn’t supposed to be her, and losing her has forever changed the way I look at this disease.
Cancer DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE.
It doesn’t care who you are, how much money you make, how old you are. Cancer doesn’t [More]

How cool is this?!?!
Our very own Tampa Police Department rolled out TWO pink-wrapped patrol cars this week, in an attempt to spread the message – and support – the fight against breast cancer.
They say the cars are part of this year’s ‘Real Men Wear Pink’ challenge.
Find out how to track the cars down here.

Every little girl dreams about her wedding day.
The dress. The venue. The music. We wait for the day our future husband pops the question, and then our plans get put into motion, right?
That’s exactly how it was for Aubrey Schmitt.
She and her boyfriend were together for a few years before he proposed. The date was set (October 21, 2017), the dress was picked out, the bridesmaids were ready, and then…life happened.
For the past 20 years, Aubrey’s dad has been battling Hepatitis C after contracting it from a blood transfusion.
Last week, during what seemed like a ‘routine’ trip to the hospital, [More]
